Maryland lawmakers have made progress in passing HB 399/SB 311, important bills which will allow terminally ill people to receive compassionate medical aid-in-dying. The House version of the bill will soon receive a vote -- please email your state representatives and ask them to support these bills!
These measures would create a patient-driven system that honors an individual’s values and beliefs, allowing terminally ill people to die in the comfort of their homes without receiving unwanted medical care. However, religious groups, including the Catholic Church, vigorously oppose this common-sense legislation. By working together we can pass these bills into law -- please take action now!
