Oklahoma Residents: Oppose Religious Discrimination in Foster Care

The Oklahoma State Legislature is considering new religious exceptions that would allow adoption and foster care placement agencies that receive state funding to discriminate against potential foster and adoptive parents based upon their religious beliefs. For example, these agencies could discriminate against atheists and religious minorities, single parents, and LGBTQ people without consequences. Tell Oklahoma lawmakers that you oppose this bill and that no one should be allowed to discriminate with government funding!

We included some sample email language in the system, but feel free to modify it to make your position clear. If you or someone you know has had an experience with foster care, adoption, or discrimination in these areas – you can definitely include it.
